I bought last weekend an used bike mainly for dog training. Now it´s time to weld dogs and mine condition before hunting season with bike training.
13.07.2008 Handling training
On summer, it´s fun to train dogs work in water. They love swimming and it´s also good workout for them. I concentrate on training mainly to handling. And after 6 weeks, it´s time to try out dogs skills in real situations, because the waterfowl hunting begins.
08.07.2008 Training wiht mallard
We have trained tracking with a dead mallard with Enne and Ruska. Tracking is one part of the water trial in winner class. The idea in tracking is, that a person drags usually a game bird along a forest about 300 meters and lefts the bird there. Then the handler sends the dog to look for the bird.
I don´t mind, though I don´t see nothing, thinks Enne. Ruska has his vision besides all the other senses.
01.07.2008 Obedience trial in Imatra
We were in obedience trial with Ruska, but we didn´t got fame and glory. With 199 points we got third prize and were second best in the winner class.
