06.07.2009 Greetings and pictures from A-litter
I visited Metsänhoitajan Alfons, Marski and Metsänhoitajan Alta, Vilma last weekend. Surprisingly puppies has grown a lot. Both puppies are well in their owners “hands” and I was also very pleased with the way they behave inside the house. While people were drinking coffee puppies went to their own places to sleep without any commands.
Besides Marski, now there is another puppy Metsänhoitajan Algar, Enska, which has pointed game, not sight pointing, but pointing capercaillies scent.

14.06.2009 Happy Birthday Alma!
Dachshund Alma celebrated her 10th birthday on friday! Possibility for digging is a great birthday present.
I met Enska, Metsänhoitajan Algar on monday. Enska has been already swimming and even retrieved a warm woodcock. A woodcock crashed with the owners car and Pasi took the dead bird with him. At home Enska met for the first time warm game and did even retrieve it.
From Marski´s (Metsänhoitajan Alfons) owner I heard, that Marski has pointed a pheasant for the first time for some 20-40 seconds, then he run the bird up and stopped sitting.
08.06.2009 Trip to South-Carelia and meeting Jörö
On our trip Ruokolahti South-Carelia last weekend, we visited Metsänhoitajan Aldur “Jörö” and it´s owners Teija and Heikki.
Jörö is a confident puppy, it´s open towards new people and places. It participated water trial trainings and water trial with Teija as a auditor. And it didn´t for example mind shotgun shooting while water trial. Besides nice temper, for me it seems like it has excellent coat, harsh beard and tight harsh hair.
03.06.2009 Seems like puppies are not afraid of water
It seems like Metsänhoitajan A-litter isn´t afraid of water. I have got messages from the puppies owners, that almost every puppy has been paddling in water, some has dripped to water, but hasn´t mind it and some puppy has already swum. It´s pleasure hear that kind of news.
Enska, the famous cone retriever
Not every single white hair isn´t Jörö´s fault in german short-haired pointing dog Jermu.
Koirat nauttivat omasta pihasta täysin siemauksin. Tässä poseerataan keinussa kauniisti kukkivan omenapuun takia.
Sunnuntaina suuntaan torikirppikselle myymään kaikkea tarpeetonta. Reissunainen Alma haluaa aina varmistaa mukaanpääsyn ja oli asettautunut kirppiskamojen viereen Ikean-muovisäkkiin siestalle.On sunday it´s time to go to flea market. Alma wanted to be sure, that if somebody is going to go somewhere, she comes also.
18.05.2009 Puppies are in their new homes
Puppies have been in their new homes a bit over one week now. It has been pleasure to hear, how well they have adapted to their new homes.

03.05.2009 First puppy did left to her new home
First puppy has moved to her new home. That didn´t happened without breeder´s crying. Before Alta did left, Ruska did gave her some important advices. During two hours drive from North-Carelia to South-Carelia Alta did sleep. And during that drive Alta´s new owners decided, that her new name is Vilma.
Now there are 8 puppies left, and huge amount of energy. Next weekend will rest of the puppies move to their new homes.
23.04.2009 Everyday schedule for the puppies
Traveling with car went well. Puppies were a bit loud about half of the trip to hunting club´s cabin. At the cabin they met some new people and new places. When I drove back home, they were all quit. Altogether about 60 kilometers.
During the weekend I will do an “informal” puppy test to every puppy. After that it´s time to make the final decision about puppies new owners.
21.04.2009 Little cleaners
Puppies have been taken fresh air since last week. Our garden is totally covered with snow, but every puppy has put their feet on the cold snow.
Yesterday i showed the hoover to the puppies. Hoover was on when puppies came to kitchen, they were just fascinated about it in a positive way. I´m hoping that these kind of things builds up puppies character in a good way.
Today it´s time to put the puppies to the car with Ruska. I´m planing to go to our hunting clubs cabin.
14.04.2009 Speedy puppies
Puppies are now eating three times a day. Besides ordinary food, they get raw bones.
At easter time my sister´s son Santeri did take care of the puppies.
Tomorrow it´s day for microchips.
10.04.2009 Puppies are now 4 weeks
Puppies are now 4 weeks. They have been exploring our house and spend some time in our bathroom. Just to make them familiar with different kind of places. Whelping box has got only 3 walls left and puppies have got the hole dog room for them.
Ruska is still nursing puppies. But little teeth together with growing hunger are doing their thing, sooner or later nursing moments are shortening. The puppies are now eating twice a day solid food. Quite messy! Before eating, I have started to whistle the “come”-whistle.
