04.02.2011 Great results!
Great results from field trials! Metsänhoitajan Algar got young class 2. prize in a field trial at 8.1. Metsänhoitajan Alrik succeeded amazingly 29.1. in a field trial. He got young class 1st prize with 98 point out of 100 points.
Now altogether 5 dogs have been awarded in field trials, 2 x young class 1st prizes, 2 x young class 2nd prizes and 1 x young class 3rd prize. 7 dogs have participated field trials.
8 dogs from A-litter has visited dog shows, results can be found from litter´s own page.
Also great health results! Metsänhoitajan Algar has A/A hips and 0/0 elbows!

The annual hunting test and dog show for young class continental pointing dogs is called Junkkari. It´s held in Ostrobothnia in the end of september. 7 dogs from Metsänhoitajan-litter participated event with excellent results. There were about 300 dogs altogether and annually about 25 % gets hunting test result. Here is short summary about Metsänhoitajan-dogs results.

Metsänhoitajan Algar and Metsänhoitajan Alpha was shown in group show in Tuusniemi 21.2. Judge Harri Lehkonen gave them both very good and they both won junior class, JUN VG/1.
23.02.2010 A New Family Member
Our family has grown with too little feet. A baby girl 3,4 kg and 50,5 cm was born on 10.2. The whole family is doing very well.
06.02.2010 Alvin and pheasant pointing
In Finland pheasant hunting continues until the end of february. Metsänhoitajan Alvin was last week on the field training with pheasants, although there is quite much snow at the moment even in South-Finland. Alvin´s owners were very pleased with the dog. Alvin pointed altogether 4 times. 2 of the situations were excellent with point, avance by the order and no rushing after the birds, but nice and calm staying in place.
24.01.2010 Metsänhoitajan Alfons successful in the show ring again
Metsänhoitajan Alfons, Marski was again successful in the show ring. First at puppy class in Turku International Dog Show he was BOB-puppy, judge Ann Carlström from Sweden.
23. - 24.1. there were again an international dog show at Turku. Marski participated the dog show in junior class. Portuguese judge Joao De Paula Bessa gave him excellent and placed first in junior class. And finally competing against other males Marski was 3. best dog. JUN EXC1 BD3
13.01.2010 A-litter puppies at dog show
First puppies from A-litter has showed in dog show. Metsänhoitajan Alfons, Marski made his debut in Turku International Dog Show 28.11. Marski was BOB-puppy, best of breed in puppy class with honorary prize. http://www.saunalahti.fi/~lskp/turku09/tulokset.html
Metsänhoitajan Alvar, Mosku made his dog show debut in Kajaani International Dog Show 10.1. Judge Rita Kadike-Skadina from Latvian gave Mosku in junior class excellent, in competition class Mosku was third EXC3.

Successful New Year 2010!
Year 2009 was very special because of the puppies after Ruska and Athos. It has been pleasure to hear and see how fine homes puppies did get. Puppies has been healthy, which is very important. Every puppy has had contacts with game, and quite a few has already pointed a bird, retrieved a shooted mallard and worked with small predators. Breeder can only be very pleased and happy. Every puppy has got potential to be a fine hunting dog in the future.
In june we will have a litter meeting. Main theme for that meeting will be water work training. In the end of september it´s time for Junkkari in Lapua Ostrobothnia. Junkkari is an annual survey for continental pointing dogs under 2 years of age. On one day dogs appearance will be checked by dog show judges, who are specialised in pointing dogs. On the other day it´s time for hunting test. Let´s hope that as many as possible from Metsänhoitajan A-litter will take part.
